Delete your account

You can have your BCBR Buddy account and everything attached to it permanently erased. This page explains exactly what goes, what has to stay, and how long it takes.

How to ask

Email support@bcbrbuddy.in from the address you signed in with, with Delete my account as the subject. Sending it from the registered address is how we confirm the request is really yours — we will not act on a deletion request for an account we cannot verify you own.

Nothing else is needed. You do not have to give a reason, and you will not be argued with.

What is deleted

• Your account and sign-in identity, including a Google sign-in if you used one.
• Every answer you have given, and every question you flagged.
• Your exam date, study plan and readiness history.
• Your device and session records.
• Any content corrections you reported, unless already acted on and made anonymous.

What is kept, and why

If you have paid for a pass, the record of that purchase stays: the amount, the date, and the payment reference. Indian tax and accounting law requires a business to keep transaction records for years, and that obligation does not disappear because a customer asks. The record is detached from your study data and kept only for that purpose.

A purchase record retained this way is not used to contact you, and it does not keep your account alive. Everything else goes.

What it means for a pass you have paid for

Deleting your account ends your access immediately, including any days still remaining on a pass. Deletion is not a refund and does not trigger one — if you want your money back, read the refund policy first and ask for that instead, or as well.

How long it takes

We act within 30 days, which is what the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 allows, and in practice usually within a few working days. You will get an email confirming when it is done.

It cannot be undone

A deleted account cannot be restored, and your answered questions and progress cannot be recovered afterwards. If you only want to stop studying for a while, you do not need to delete anything — an account with no active pass simply sits there, and the five free lectures stay open.
